Actually Tammy did take this song to #1 on the British, Canadian and US Country charts. in the US and Canada it was #1 in 1968 and in 1975 it was #1 in England
The irony is that while she was unable to make it to No.1 with this song, Billy did it with a parody.

When people divorce nowadays they probably delete their wedding photos downloaded on their computers. Before the wedding albums with photos were ripped out or maybe left incase that person remarries again for new photos.
the photo maybe be worthless unless its someone special like Princess Diana whose photos are still seen today.

yes on the studio recording, it is J-O-E but in her concerts Tammy did it G-E-O 0ccasionally in the 1970s and early 80s before changing it permanently sometime around 1982 to G-E–O

I have heard to reasons why. The first was that she changed it when she was on the chevy GEO truck tout. The other is that it is short for Georgette, her daughter with Geroge Jones
