Divorce arbitration – Soprano style

Well it’s not truly arbitration. Even so, I think this is one of the better monologues delivered by Gandolfini.

Tonys right, as usual. Carmella was entitled to nothing. She had some nerve pulling tht shit all through season 5. She had a right to get mad about the goomars but tht was Tonys house, I’m surprised he let her stay and he left.
@mikeyaaa ‘go stand over there i’ll call when im ready’ lol
Only characters i hate are Tonys kids, and his wife i dislike.
Is there NOt a great scene in this series?
“I hope you brought your appetite”
lol, I loved that part
like tony said hes old school he doesn’t believe in the divorce crap
all because she wanted to buy furio a new iroq
tonys right carmela is entitled to shit.
“invite me to a public place so you can ambush me”—sounds like a mob whacking.
Tony needed a forged pre-nup lol
lol, “if Tony wasn’t in the mafia” he wouldn’t be Tony.
She’s ready to order LOL
Bad move a sit down between man and wife in a restaurant? Way too public
they shouldn’t have gotten divorced. they just needed many, many hours of relationship counselling. as I recall I don’t think they went much. really i think they could have had a great marriage if tony weren’t in the mafia.
sry i dont remember what i said
yes it is too much to expect. even outside the “mob world”.
fucking a… the sense of entitlement to consider what she had “minimum”…
Fucking bitches are all the same, they are always gonna have custody of the kids and always 50% minimum of the mans hard earned money
“. . . and you act like butter wouldn’t melt in your mouth.”
One of the best lines in Sopranos history.
youre entitled to SHIT!!! tony lays down some cold lines!!!
carmella is such a fckin whore
that is not a monlogue
@ jrapidfire,
“You act like butter wouldn’t melt in your mouth” refers to someone who is demure and proper, and therefore “cold” enough to keep butter from melting, but used in a contemptuous way to imply that the person is overly demure and proper…
Jonathan Swift’s Polite Conversation (1738): “She looks as if butter wouldn’t melt in her mouth but I warrant, cheese won’t choke her.”
She wants her payoff for being a bosses wife, not just his ‘legit’ earnings (the ‘BS tax return’).
she is entitled to shit
Well said, the hypocrisy on this show is funny. Livia always claim’s her husband was a saint. Yeah sure, murdering people and beating your kids is real saint like. This show also goes to show good things happen to bad people, Christopher’s murdered someone and commits wrongful acts, yet he survives getting shot up over 7 times! Then again they had the money for a recovery like that, and I’m sure the Hospital staff was intimidated by them!
